Ok, so I’m extremely picky about my pizza, and I give very few 5-Star ratings on pizzas, but this place earns it without question … Chicago has it’s pizza, and New York has its style, too, as does Detroit, but so does Akron & Youngstown, and the Wizard of Za is clearly a unique Northeast Ohio Style pizza made right here in central Ohio !!! And It’s definitely a must try pizza!!! So Get your slice here now !!! You won’t be disappointed…
Hard to find. The menu has no details or description and they have no paper menus to supplement, just the wall board with titles. You have to ask the counter person, so hope there is not someone else waiting.
The pizza is excellent. Wish they had mushrooms.
Some of the best pizza I’ve had in Columbus. Tons of flavor and customizable options. You can tell they use quality ingredients, which set their flavors apart from a lot of average pizza places.
I can't speak on the service but the pizza isn't great! Today we got it catered in and it was cold, burnt, and just all around terrible. The rolls not even cooked. I won't be returning.
I ate here 6 weeks ago, and the pizza was so good that we ate it in the parking lot and ordered a second to take home and promptly ate it. Tonight, however, it was so bad we threw it away. The children working in the kitchen area were more interested in gossiping than working. 🤔 Owners just close the shop clearly it is not a priority with fusion doing so well. Just let it die so no one else has to get the burned flat trash crust you are pushing out now. Sad to see it go I will always remember how good it was.
Great thick crusty pizza and favorable sauce. Primarily carryout. Several tasty choices. If you like spicy go for the Hawaiian.
Finally tried Wizard of Za last night. Got the Pepperoni and the Vodka sauce pies. Both were very, very good. The crust on both was very tasty, hearty with a bit of crunch. A bit thicker than where my personal preferences tend to be, but that's a 'me' thing. One of the best focaccia style crusts I've ever had. The Pepperoni pie was very good. The hot honey added just a touch of spice and sweet that complimented the pepperoni flavor nicely. 8.5 out of 10.
But the Vodka sauce pie was on the next level. It was amazing. That sauce tastes like it should be on a high end pasta dish at the best Italian place in town. I will go back just for this pie. Even on my non favorite style of crust, this is a 10/10 for me.
Definitely give these guys a try. Yes, it's pricey, but the product is good enough to warrant the price, at least occasionally.
Extremely disappointing and a waste of time and money. Placed an order online for two pizzas for pick-up. Arrived a few minutes before the scheduled pick-up time and stood at the counter completely ignored for 10 minutes while the staff ran around assembling pizzas and handing them out beside me. When someone finally acknowledged us, we were told one of their ovens was down and they were running behind, and it would be another 15 minutes and offered us a drink while we waited. 45 minutes later, they finally hand us the pizzas to take home.
The pizzas were completely burnt and black on the bottom, and the only thing you could taste was the burnt crust. We got the special crab rangoon pizza, which was just globs of now-burnt krab haphazardly spooned on top. The cheese pizza was so burnt as to be cracker-like in texture and entirely unpleasant. The garlic knots were cold and stuck to the container.
I don’t think we will ever consider returning.
